Project Overview

This project consisted of creating a mobile app for VirteX, a local internet service provider from Piauí, Brazil. They already had a very simple web app focusing on paying the bill but with few options and poor usability. The native app designed aimed to improve the UX and also the functionality, including more payment options and a recurring payment setup, as well as service status indicators, usage history and other statistics, list of connected devices and options to change the Wi-Fi access point name or password.

Design Process

1. Research & Discovery: I started by analyzing the existing web app, identifying pain points, and gathering user feedback from app stores. The goal was to create a mobile experience that resolved these issues while providing additional useful features.

2. Benchmarking: I analyzed other regional competitors, and national e international companies to learn from their qualities and mistakes and apply on the new design.

3. Wireframing & Prototyping: I designed wireframes and interactive prototypes that improved the app's flow and introduced new features. These prototypes were shared with stakeholders for feedback before moving forward.

4. UI Design: I focused on creating a clean, intuitive interface that enhanced the overall experience. The new UI allowed users to easily manage their accounts, set up recurring payments, and monitor their internet usage in real-time.

Outcome

After the app's release, the Play Store rating improved from 4.1 to 4.7, with users praising both the UX and UI changes. Reviews highlighted the improved functionality, ease of use, and modern design, showcasing the impact of the new version.
